Where are you from?
McDonough, GA

How long have you been in business? since March of 2003

Tell us about your business(es)
My businesses are country and primitive related. I sell crafts and home decor.

What are your best sellers?
My best sellers are my Mason Jar Lamps and Chicken Feeder Lights.

What DID you want to be when you grew UP?
I actually went to college to be an accountant so now my accounting skills come in handy!

When and how did you get started in this business?
I got started in the business after one of my daycare parents told me that I needed to start a craft shop since I have so many crafts in my home. That was a lightbulb moment for me and that night I did some online searches for craft sites, came across Donna with Gone Country Graphics and she designed my first website, Crafty At Heart. Within 6 months I was able to quit my home daycare business and devote 100% of my time to my websites.

What mediums do you design with & which are your favorites?
I love using mason jars. I make lamps, soap & lotion dispensers, chicken feeder lights and much more out of mason jars. They are so versatile and anyone who loves country decor loves mason jars!

What or who inspires you?
I get inspiration from my family. They are so supportive of my businesses and being a website owner allows me to work around my schedule. I usually work on the internet after my husband and children go to bed.

Where do you sell your designs?
I sell my products on my websites, on several online craft malls, in consignment booths and in the Country Sampler magazine.

Advice for other crafters:
My advice is to be patient. Success won't happen overnight but it will happen if you keep working hard and provide your customers with great customer service. Most of my orders are repeat customers.
